Two people different roles?

I've been trying for ages to create a realistic image showing two distinctly different people, in two distinctly different positions, with two distinctly different expressions. Basically a sub/Dom power dynamic between two different people. I'm not trying to create an elaborate bondage scene where one or two people are suspended in mid air by intricate Japanese rope work, or an elaborate sex scene from the Kama Sutra. My project should be easier than any BDSM or sex scene but it is proving far more elusive. I just want a relatively simple image of a dominant person standing tall with arms crossed and a scowl and a submissive in anguished distress person kneeling grovelling at the feet of the dominant person. Simples! Unfortunately I almost always end up with two identical people, standing with the same expression or two identical people kneeling with the same expression. Above are some of my best results which come from an entirely different project. They just happened to click. Please help. Any advice would be much appreciated
