CFG - what is it, how does it work, and what do I want to set it to?

Same as the CLIP skip tips, using all the same prompt and settings we'll walk through what CFG is. The 4 images from left to right go as CFG levels 1, 4, 8, and 12. --- CFG is very close to CLIP Skip, but slightly different in an important way. --- CLIP Skip = How the AI understands your prompt. The AI thinks, "How should I read this prompt?" CFG = How much the AI follows your prompt. The AI thinks, "How hard should I follow it once I’ve read it?" --- You'll immediately notice the images get brighter as the CFG increases because the AI is trying really hard to match all parts of your prompt, including things like “sunlight,” “gold,” “vivid,” “colorful,” even if you didn’t say those exact words. It’s basically **overemphasizing** details which can make the images more bright and vivid. --- TL;DR Lower CFG (1-4) = more creative freedom and dimmer photos. Higher CFG (9-12) = strict obedience and most vivid photos. Middle CFG (5-8) = best of both worlds and moderate aesthetics.
